Jelaine Jelaine Kennels is home to me - Marlene Baird, my husband - Sterling Bunn, our four Chinese Cresteds - Dezdemona, Zara, MacDuff, and Tanner, our two Papillons - Spencer and Kerby, and our two cats - Ophelia and Josephine.  Sterling and I have been involved with purebred dogs since our marriage in 1984.  In the '80s, we used the kennel name, Regent, and raised and showed English Setters.  Over the years, we have had the privilege of owning many beautiful animals - English Setters, Dobermans, Chinese Cresteds, and Papillons.  These animals have enriched our lives beyond belief, as have the many wonderful people that we have met in dog circles over the years - first in Saskatoon, and now in Calgary.  Our Chinese Cresteds are all from Martine Couture's outstanding Crestar kennel - www.crestars.com , and Papillons are from the equally outstanding Marron kennel - http://www.1stchoicedogs.com/marron/   We show most of our dogs in conformation, and have always taught our dogs basic obedience.  Over the years, I have shown the occasional dog in the obedience ring, and I am now training my Papillons - Spencer and Kerby - for obedience, Rally, scent hurdling, and agility.  Sterling has also dabbled in obedience training, and has worked with both Zara and Tanner.  We breed very few litters, as most of our energy goes toward training and enjoying our little family!
