Spencer worked well, and we went High in Class with a score of 197.5!! Still lots of work to do, but I'm thrilled with his first leg! o:)
April, 2011: Kerby is now enrolled in agility classes at Hyper Hounds. He is really enjoying the classes, and is learning all the obstacles. Since I am also new to agility, we're learning together! o:)
February, 2011: EKKOC show in Calgary: Spencer competed in the Scent Hurdling trials on Friday and Saturday night. I was very proud of him, as he competed like a little trooper. We had a lot of fun at the trials, and... Spencer came home with a new title: SHDX!

October, 2009: Zara has new puppies! Although this is Martine Couture's litter, they were born at our house, as Martine was at the National Specialty in the Lower Mainland. Zara delivered 6 puppies between 10:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28. She is now the proud mama of 3 powderpuff girls, 1 powderpuff boy, 1 hairy hairless boy, and 1 hairless boy. Zara and the babies are all doing fine. To view the puppies, please go to our "Puppies" page and visit Martine's website: www.crestars.com. October, 2009: Spencer has begun an agility class! This is his first agility class, and he is thoroughly enjoying working in an arena with lots of his Sheltie friends from the scent hurdling team. Sherry Mann and Spencer's mother, Opi, are also in the class, so he is feeling quite at home!
July, 2009: We have a new puppy at our house! Kerby, a gorgeous, young Papillon, joined us on July 2. Kerby is from the outstanding Marron kennel, and we will co-own this exciting little boy with our friends, Earle and Mary Ronald. Kerby fit into our family instantly, and Tanner is enjoying playing with another puppy. Kerby continually amazes us with his intelligence and his endearing personality. Mary and I are eagerly anticipating showing our littermates at the shows this winter!
April, 2009: Spencer and Marlene have been invited to join the Scentabilities scent hurdling team! Spencer has been attending classes this winter, and is becoming a good little scent hurdler. He trains primarily with Shelties, and has decided that he really loves that breed! So... we will join the team, and hopefully, enter some races later this summer.
March 14, 2009: APDT trials at Sit Happens in Calgary - Spencer competed in three trials in Novice B, and earned scores of 207, 207, and 210. The first two were high in class scores, and although the 210 was a perfect score, we tied with another team, which happened to have a better time than ours, leaving us in second place in the third trial. It was a fun day, and good experience for both Spencer and me!
March, 2009: CKOC show in Calgary - Spencer finished his last leg for his PreCompanion Dog (PCD) title. Officially, he is now Ch. Marron in Suspence, CGN, PCD, RN, RL1!
